Sweet-Sour Spareribs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. spareribs, cut in 2-inch pieces
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 Tbsp. shoyu
    2 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    8 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1/2 c. vinegar
    piece of ginger and/or garlic
    juice of pineapple, plus water to equal 1 c.
    pineapple chunks
Preparation
    Marinate
    spareribs
    for
    1/2
    hour in mixture of salt, shoyu and
    cornstarch.
    Brown ribs in oil; drain oil.
    Simmer ribs until
    tender,
    1
    to 2 hours, in a mixture of the brown sugar, vinegar, ginger and/or garlic and pineapple juice-water mixture. Add
    pineapple
    chunks
    just before serving.
    Remove oil from spareribs.
