Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. sweet milk
    flour (about 3 c.)
    1 heaping tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla or flavor of choice
Preparation
    Combine shortening and sugar.
    Add well beaten eggs and milk; beat well.
    Mix dry ingredients; add gradually.
    Chilled dough rolls better.
    Roll thin, cut in desired shapes.
    Use flour to make rolled dough. Bake on 375\u00b0 about 8 minutes.
    Tea cakes that never grow stale.
