Olde English Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
    Cream butter and sugar, then add eggs; cream until light and creamy.
    Add vanilla after creaming butter, sugar and eggs.
    Add dry ingredients.
    Drop by teaspoon.
    Touch top of cake lightly with cloth covered glass dipped in sugar.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 9 minutes.
