Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
2 Tbsp. water
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 lb. mint chocolate wafers
Preparation

Cream well together the butter, sugar and brown sugar.
Beat well together and add to creamed mixture the water, eggs and vanilla.
Sift together and blend in the flour, soda and salt. Cover and refrigerate 2 hours or overnight.
Using 1 pound mint chocolate wafers, enclose a wafer in about 1 tablespoon dough. Place on greased cookie sheet about 2-inches apart and top with a walnut half.
Plain chocolate wafers may be used, if preferred. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
Yields 2 1/2 to 3 dozen.
