Grandma Armstrong'S Banana Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 c. milk
    3 egg yolks
    2 Tbsp. vanilla
    3 or 4 bananas
    1 box vanilla wafers
Preparation
    Scald milk.
    Mix cornstarch and sugar.
    Add egg yolks.
    Add this mix to scalded milk.
    Cook until thick, then add vanilla. Layer cookies and bananas in a bowl, repeating until all gone. Top with a meringue, if desired.
