Pineapple Cake Filling - cooking recipe

2 c. sugar
1 large can crushed pineapple
2 egg whites, beaten
pinch of salt
Preparation

Drain pineapple.
Save syrup.
Mix sugar and syrup in saucepan and boil.
Pour over egg whites.
Mix pineapple and spread on favorite cake layers.
