Tart Sweet Potato Apple Bake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 medium sweet potatoes, peeled
2 c. thinly sliced apples
lemon juice
1/2 c. brown sugar
dash of cinnamon
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. water
Preparation

Slice potatoes in 1/2-inch rounds.
Cook in a small amount of water until almost tender.
Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Butter a shallow baking dish and make alternate layers of sweet potatoes and apple slices.
Sprinkle apple layers with lemon juice, sugar and cinnamon.
Dot with butter and pour water over all.
Bake 1 hour, or until potatoes are very tender.
Serves 8 to 10.
