Grandma'S Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. sorghum (1/3 c. molasses and 2/3 c. Karo)
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs and sorghum and beat. Sift together dry ingredients.
    Add dry ingredients alternately with water to creamed mixture.
    Beat.
    Pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
