Spiced Cabbage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. red cabbage
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. bacon fat
1/3 c. vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp. ground cloves
Preparation

Slice very fine the red cabbage into saucepan.
Add the sugar, bacon fat, vinegar, salt, pepper and ground cloves.
Simmer for at least 1 hour.
You'll find that it improves with longer cooking.
