Feather Bed Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
2 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
2 c. milk, scalded and cooled
1/2 c. warm water
2 tsp. salt
5 c. flour or enough to make a moderately stiff dough
Preparation

Melt shortening into milk while milk is hot.
Dissolve yeast into water and add to cooled milk.
Add sugar, salt and eggs; mix well.
Add flour one cup at a time and knead until dough is stiff and elastic.
Let stand 20 minutes.
Roll out and cut into desired shape.
Cover and let rise until double in size.
Bake at 400\u00b0 until golden brown.
