Fruit Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 lb. margarine
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. flour
    1 can pie filling or 1 jar preserves
Preparation
    Cream sugar and margarine in a large bowl.
    Beat in eggs, one at a time.
    Add vanilla.
    Add flour and mix well.
    Spread 3/4 of batter into a greased 11 x 15 x 1-inch pan.
    Cover with fruit filling.
    Drop remaining batter by teaspoonfuls, randomly on top of filling.
    Bake 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cool and cut into squares.
