Microwave Ruby Red Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 c. water
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen, sliced strawberries, thawed
    1 qt. fresh strawberries, washed and hulled
    1 (9-inch) baked pastry shell
    whipped cream (if desired)
Preparation
    Combine sugar, cornstarch and water in a large glass mixing bowl until smooth. Stir in frozen strawberries and juice. Microwave for 2 minutes on High. Stir and continue cooking for 2 to 5 minutes on High or until thickened.
    Cool.
    Fold whole strawberries into glaze mixture.
    Pour into baked pastry shell. Chill. Serve with whipped cream.
    Makes a 9-inch pie.
