Refrigerator Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. oatmeal
    2 c. All-Bran (Kellogg's)
    2 c. Shredded Wheat
    2 c. boiling water
    1 1/2 c. shortening
    4 beaten eggs
    3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    5 tsp. baking soda
    5 c. flour
Preparation
    Soak the first 5 ingredients in a large bowl.
    Add the egg and sugar. Sift together the salt, baking soda and flour.
    Add dry ingredients alternately with 1-quart buttermilk.
    Bake in 3/4 filled muffin tins. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 22 minutes. Check center with toothpick to check if done.
