Favorite Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. onion, diced
    2 c. chicken broth
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    1 1/2 c. sliced zucchini
    1/2 c. carrots
    1/2 c. chopped, seeded tomatoes
    1 tsp. chopped fresh parsley
    1/4 tsp. basil leaves
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    In 1 1/2-quart saucepan, combine onion, garlic and 1/4 cup of broth; cook until onion is translucent.
    Add remaining ingredients and rest of the broth.
    Cover and cook over a high heat, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes.
    Reduce heat to medium and simmer or until vegetables are soft, about 20 minutes.
    Makes 2 servings.
