Ingredients

1/2 c. oil or oleo
2 Tbsp. warm water
3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1 c. molasses
1 egg, beaten
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. soda
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Mix together oil or oleo, molasses, warm water and beaten egg. Sift together dry ingredients and add to the first mixture; mix thoroughly.
Let stand about 10 minutes.
