Scalloped Potatoes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 qt. or so peeled and sliced potatoes
1 c. cream or milk
2 Tbsp. butter
1 lb. Colby cheese (Longhorn style) or 1 block Cheddar cheese
salt and pepper to taste
1/3 c. oil
Preparation

In a large frying pan, put enough cooking oil to fry potatoes. Cook potatoes until half-done; add milk or cream, butter, salt and pepper.
Simmer about 5 minutes.
Add cheese over top of potatoes and milk mixture.
Let simmer until cheese has melted and mixture has thickened a little.
Serve hot.
