Old Fashioned Baked Brown Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. light molasses
    1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    4 c. graham flour
    2 c. buttermilk
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
    1 heaping tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. raisins
Preparation
    In large bowl, stir all ingredients together, mixing well. Batter makes enough to fill 8 (10 3/4 ounce) soup cans.
    Oil containers well and fill not quite 2/3 full.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for approximately 45 to 50 minutes.
    Test with a straw for doneness.
    Cool in containers for ten minutes before removing to cake rack.
    Serve warm or cool with butter or margarine.
    This bread freezes well.
    This loaf is ideal for slicing and spreading with cream cheese or your choice of spread.
