Orange Slice Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 sticks margarine
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. self-rising flour
4 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 box raisins or dates
1 lb. orange candy slices
1 tsp. grated orange peel
2 c. pecans
8 oz. coconut
1 c. orange juice (to pour over top)
Preparation

Cream
margarine
and
sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time. Add buttermilk\tand flour alternately.\tFold in nuts, coconut and fruit, that has been chopped fine and dusted with 1/2 cup of the flour.
Cook at 325\u00b0 for 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Take out of
the oven and while hot, pour 1 cup of orange juice and 1/2
cup
sugar (which has been heated) over top of the cake. Let stand in pan until it is cold.
