Scotch Shortbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
Preparation

Mix butter and sugar thoroughly.
Stir in vanilla, then flour and mix with hand.
Roll out into 1/4 to 1/3-inch thick and cut into fancy shapes with cookie cutter or roll into 1-inch balls and flatten on ungreased cookie sheet.
Decorate with baking candy. Bake at 300\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
Shape of cookie does not change during baking.
