Dill Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. water
    3 c. vinegar
    1 c. salt (canning)
    1/2 tsp. alum
    sprigs of fresh dill
Preparation
    Bring to boil water, vinegar and salt. Pour over cucumbers in sterilized jars. Add alum and dill to each quart; seal.
