Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
Preparation
    Mix first three.
    Sift together dry ingredients and stir in. Chill dough.
    Roll into balls the size of small walnuts.
    Roll in mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon.
    Place about 2-inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 5 dozen (2-inch) cookies.
