Quick English Currant Bread - cooking recipe

5 level c. flour
2 c. light brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 lb. raisins
1/2 lb. currants
3/4 c. candied mixed fruit
2 1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 lb. margarine
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 heaping tsp. baking powder
1 level tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
Preparation

Cream sugar and margarine.
Add eggs.
Combine flour, salt, spices, baking powder and baking soda.
Add raisins, currants and candied fruit.
Add buttermilk alternately with flour mixture. Make as moist as fruit cake.
Pour into 2 loaf pans, greased and lined with waxed paper.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 1/2 hour, then at 300\u00b0 for last half hour.
Cool on rack.
Wrap in foil and store in refrigerator.
