Almond Shortbread Bars - cooking recipe

2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. Land O' Lakes sweet cream butter, softened
1 egg, separated
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1 Tbsp. water
1/2 c. chopped almonds
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
In a large mixer bowl, combine flour. sugar, butter, egg yolk and almond extract. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until particles are fine (2 to 3 minutes). Press in bottom of greased 15 x 10 x 1-inch jelly roll pan.
