Beef Burger Barbecue(A Teen-Age Party Food) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 packet Red Star special active dry yeast or 1 cake Red Star compressed yeast
1/4 c. warm water
1/2 c. condensed onion soup (reserve remainder of 10 1/2 oz. can)
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. shortening, melted
1/2 tsp. salt*
1 unbeaten egg
2 to 2 1/4 c. Pillsbury's Best all-purpose flour*
Preparation

Soften yeast in warm water in mixing bowl.
Strain soup.
Add sugar, shortening, salt, egg and strained soup to softened yeast. Gradually add flour to form a soft dough, beating well.
(For first additions of flour, use mixer).
Cover.
Let rise in warm place (85\u00b0 to 90\u00b0F) until light and doubled in size, 45 to 60 minutes.
