Hearty Bean Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. dry navy beans
1 can (16 oz.) tomatoes, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
1 ham hock or 1 1/2 c. diced cooked ham
2 c. chicken broth (in can)
2 1/2 c. water
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Combine all ingredients and bring to boil.
Reduce heat and simmer until beans are tender.
Add more chicken broth and water if needed.
