Norwegian Fattigman - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Eggs
    3 Tbsp. Sugar
    2 Tbsp. Heavy Cream
    1/4 tsp. Salt
    1 tsp. Ground Cardamon
    1/2 tsp. Vanilla
    Approximately 2 c. Flour
Preparation
    Mix all of the ingredients using enough flour to make a soft dough.
    Roll out thin and cut in strips in the shape of diamonds. Make a one inch slit in the middle of each diamond.
    Loop one tip of the diamond through slit to make the cookie look like a diamond with a knot in the middle.
    Fry in hot lard turning once.
    Drain well on paper towels.
    Cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
