Best Ever Lemon Meringue Pie - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cornstarch
1/8 tsp. salt
4 egg yolks
1 3/4 c. water
1/2 c. lemon juice
3 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. grated lemon rind
1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
Preparation

Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt in saucepan; set aside. Combine egg yolks, water and lemon juice.
Stir in sugar mixture; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Stir in butter and lemon rind.
Put in baked shell.
