Make-Ahead Beef-Carrot Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. minced onion
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. sour cream
    1 c. cream-style cottage cheese
    1/4 c. chopped fresh parsley
    1 c. sliced, cooked carrots
    8 oz. medium noodles, cooked and drained
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Brown beef in melted butter in skillet.
    When meat begins to turn color, add onion and garlic.
    Saute until meat is browned. Stir in tomato sauce, salt and pepper.
    Simmer uncovered for 5 minutes.
