Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. (4 to 6) mashed bananas
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. buttermilk or sour milk
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream together butter and sugar (well).
    Blend in bananas, eggs and vanilla.
    Sift together flour, soda and salt.
    Add alternately with buttermilk, blending just until well combined. Fold in nuts, if desired.
    Pour into 2 greased loaf pans and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
