Freezer Sweet Dill Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. (3-inch long) unwaxed cucumbers, cut into 1/8 inch slices (equals 4 c., sliced)
    3/4 lb. onion, cut into 1/8 inch slices
    4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. water
    3/4 to 1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. cider vinegar
    1 tsp. dried dill or more to taste
Preparation
    In a large bowl layer cucumbers and onion.
    Sprinkle with salt and water and toss gently.
    Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours. Drain very well.
    In small saucepan combine sugar, vinegar and dried dill.
    Heat gently (do not boil) until sugar is melted, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat and allow to cool.
    Pack drained vegetables in freezer containers and pour liquid over to cover.
    Freeze; will be ready to eat as soon as they are defrosted.
