Penne Gold - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
    4 slice pancetta (Italian bacon) or Prosciutto (Italian ham)
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    1 (35 oz.) can Italian peeled plum tomatoes with juice
    salt to taste
    1 shake dried red pepper flakes
    1 lb. penne
    1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Brown pancetta and garlic in olive oil over medium heat in a large frying pan (7 minutes).
    Add tomatoes with liquid, salt and pepper flakes and boil, breaking up tomatoes for 30 minutes or until thick, stirring frequently.
    Cook penne in large pot of boiling water until al dente.
    Drain pasta.
    Put back in pot.
    Add sauce and mix to coat.
    Add cheese; mix well.
    Serve.
