Ingredients

2 (10 oz.) tomato puree
1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. fresh bread, cut in 2-inch squares
1/2 c. butter, melted
Preparation

Mix tomato puree, 1/2 cup boiling water, brown sugar and salt and boil 10 minutes.
Put bread in buttered casserole.
Pour 1/2 cup melted butter over bread.
Add tomato mix.
Bake 30 to 40 minutes, covered, in 300\u00b0 oven.
Only tomato puree works.
