Slovak Poppy Seed Or Nut Roll - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. butter
2 cakes yeast
1 c. warm water
2 Tbsp. sugar
4 c. flour
2 egg yolks
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water.
Set aside to rise while preparing rest of pastry.
Sift flour and salt together; cut in shortening as for pie dough.
Add yolks and blend and knead for about five minutes.
Divide dough into four pieces.
Roll each piece and spread with poppy seed or nut filling.
Roll up into roll.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
