Goetta - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. pork sausage
    1 qt. cold water
    1 1/2 c. pinhead oatmeal
    1 small onion, diced
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Combine ingredients (do not brown meat) and cook on low for 2 1/2 hours.
    Stir occasionally (will thicken considerably).
    Pour into cold casserole dish.
    Refrigerate until firm.
    Slice and fry. Great with eggs and toast.
