Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. oil
    1 c. molasses
    1 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 1/2 tsp. ginger
    2 tsp. soda
    1 1/8 c. hot water
    2 c. self-rising flour
Preparation
    Mix first 7 ingredients together well. Dissolve the soda in 1/8 cup hot water. Add and beat into mixture. Add the self-rising flour and beat well. Add 1 cup hot water and beat well. Batter is thin. Bake in a 9 x 13 greased and floured pan at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes. Serve with Lemon Sauce.
