Smothered Chicken - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 lb. chicken
1 c. celery, chopped
butter
garlic salt
1 pt. hot water
1 can mushroom pieces with liquid
1/2 c. white sherry
Preparation

Butter bottom of large baking dish.
Sprinkle 1 cup chopped celery, then add chicken, skin side up.
(Chickens should be split down back and then across, making four quarters of each chicken; salt and pepper as desired.)
Add more butter as desired and garlic salt, if liked.
Pour 1 pint hot water over.
