Old-Time German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. salad potatoes
    1 lb. bacon
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. chopped onions
    6 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 1/2 c. vinegar
    2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Cook potatoes; cool, peel and slice.
    Fry bacon until golden brown.
    Take bacon out of pan; add butter to bacon grease.
    Stir in flour until smooth.
    Mix vinegar and water together in a bowl, then slowly add to flour mixture.
    Add sugar, stirring all the time.
    Pour over potatoes with chopped onions and crumbled bacon. Stir gently until all mixed together.
    Serve.
