Bar-B-Q Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. plus 2 tbsp. prepared mustard
    1 qt. light Karo syrup
    1 lb. pure butter
    6 cups water
    1 cup vinegar
Preparation
    Pour water, vinegar, syrup and mustard into a large pan. Beat with a portable mixer until smooth. Add butter and bring to a boil, stirring constantly until butter melts.
    Lower heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Makes enough sauce for 5
    - 3 1/2 to 4 lb. whole fryers split down the breast and cooked over a charcoal fire.
    Makes 1 gal. sauce.
