6 to 8 large potatoes
1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
salt (optional)
Preparation

Wash, peel and cut potatoes lengthwise into \"French fries.\" Toss with oil in a large bowl.
Spread in a single layer on baking sheet.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes, turning once. Salt before serving, if desired.
