Homemade Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 egg yolks, beaten
    2 cans cream
    2 cans water
    2 blocks butter
    1-1/2 cups sugar
    2 Tbsp. vanilla
    5 to 7 Tbsp. cornstarch, dissolved in water
    vanilla wafers or soda crackers
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients and cook over medium heat until it comes to a full boil.
    Pour into a 9x13 pan lined with vanilla wafers or crackers.
