Red Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar (white)
    2 eggs
    1/4 c. red food coloring
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk or sour milk
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar and eggs until smooth.
    Then combine food coloring, cocoa and salt to make a paste.
    Add this to shortening mixture.
    Then add flour, milk and vanilla; beat until smooth.
    Remove from mixer and fold in vinegar and soda.
    Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 350\u00b0.
