Greens With Hot Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    lettuce and spinach greens
    1 or more chopped green onions
    6 slices bacon, cut into small pieces
    2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
    2 Tbsp. water
    1 tsp. light brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of black pepper (about 1/8 tsp.)
Preparation
    Wash, drain and dry lettuce and greens.
    Add chopped green onions; set aside.
    Fry bacon in a large skillet until crisp; drain.
    Set aside skillet with the hot bacon fat still in it. Combine the vinegar, water, sugar, salt and pepper in a bowl. From the reserved skillet, pour off all but about 3 tablespoons of hot fat.
    Pour the vinegar mixture into the skillet.
    Place skillet over the hot coals; bring mixture to a boil.
    Remove from heat and pour over the lettuce and spinach greens.
