Cherry Winks - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. finely cut pitted dates
1/3 c. finely chopped maraschino cherries
2 2/3 c. Kellogg's Corn Flakes, crushed to 1 1/3 c.
15 maraschino cherries, cut into quarters
Preparation

Sift together
dry ingredients; set aside.
Beat butter or margarine and sugar
until\tlight
and
fluffy;
add
eggs. Beat well.
Stir in
milk
and
vanilla.
Add flour; mix well. Stir in nuts, dates and chopped cherries.
Shape tablespoon of dough into ball and
roll
in\tCorn
Flakes.
Place on greased cookie sheet and put a quartered cherry in the middle of each. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 14 minutes.
