Sweet Sour Pork Chops - cooking recipe

Ingredients

6 rib pork chops (1/2-inch thick)
1 Tbsp. shortening
salt and pepper
1/2 c. Heinz tomato ketchup
1/2 c. pineapple juice
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 Tbsp. minced onion
1 tsp. Heinz Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. ground cloves

Preparation

Brown chops in shortening; drain excess fat.
Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.
Combine ketchup and remaining ingredients; pour over chops.
Cover; simmer 45 minutes, basting occasionally, or until meat is tender.
Skim off any fat from sauce.
Makes 6 servings (1 cup sauce).
