Lasagne(Lite Cooking) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. chopped onions
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    2 Tbsp. Crisco oil
    1 lb. extra lean ground beef
    2 (14 1/2 oz. each) cans stewed tomatoes (no salt)
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    2 tsp. dried basil leaves, crushed
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    2 c. low-fat cottage cheese
    1/4 c. chopped fresh parsley
    8 oz. wide lasagne noodles
    1 c. (4 oz.) shredded low moisture part skim Mozzarella cheese
Preparation
    Cook and stir onions and garlic in Crisco until tender.
    Add ground beef and drain if necessary.
    Add tomatoes and tomato paste, basil, oregano, sugar and pepper.
    Stir until well blended. Simmer 30 minutes.
    Combine cottage cheese, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese and parsley; set aside.
    Cook noodles 7 minutes in unsalted boiling water.
    Drain.
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Layer all ingredients in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Top with sauce and Mozzarella cheese. Bake 45 minutes.
    Makes 12 servings.
