Mary Ann Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    2 beaten eggs
    2 1/2 c. sifted flour
    3/4 tsp. banana flavoring
    1 c. hot water
    1/2 c. cocoa
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. sour milk
Preparation
    Cream sugar
    and
    shortening.
    Add
    beaten eggs, cocoa, soda and salt.
    Gradually
    sift\tin
    flour and sour milk.
    Add hot water and
    banana flavoring; mix well.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until done. This cake is best when mixed by hand instead of using a mixer.
