Monster Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    4 eggs
    3 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    3 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. Quick-Cooking oats
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    4 c. (24 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
    2 c. pecans or walnuts
Preparation
    In large mixing bowl, cream shortening, butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 5 minutes).
    Add eggs one at a time, beating each well.
    Add vanilla and lemon juice. Combine flour, oats, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
    Add to creamed mixture. Mix well.
    Stir in chips and nuts.
    Drop by 1/4 c. three inches apart on lightly greased baking sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 14-16 minutes or until lightly browned and set in center.
    Cool two minutes before removing to wire rack.
