Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. vegetable shortening
    1/4 c. Mott's cinnamon applesauce
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. light brown sugar
    1 whole egg or 1/4 c. egg substitute
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 1/3 c. rolled oats
    1/2 c. raisins
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Lightly spray cookie sheet with cooking spray.
    In a large bowl mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
    In a separate bowl whisk together shortening, applesauce, granulated sugar, egg and vanilla until shortening breaks into pea-sized pieces.
    Add flour mixture to applesauce mixture.
    Mix well.
    Fold in oats and raisins.
    Drop rounded teaspoonfuls onto a cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
    Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
    Remove from oven and cool on a cookie sheet for 5 minutes.
    Remove and put on cooling rack.
    Makes 36 cookies.
