Mel'S Beer Cheese Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. flour
    5 c. canned chicken broth, heated
    2 pt. whipping cream
    2 jars Cheez Whiz
    1 can beer (cooking takes the alcohol out of but no alcohol beer works just as well)
    4 Tbsp. Worcestershire
Preparation
    In a large heavy Dutch oven, melt the butter. Mix in flour until smooth.
    Cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly, over medium heat.
    Blend in the hot chicken broth with wire whip.
    Add the cheese and stir until blended.
    Pour in whipping cream. Incorporate well.
    Add Worcestershire and beer.
    Cook over low heat, stirring until thick and smooth, 15 to 20 minutes.
    Serve with croutons, bits of ham, freeze dried chives or a sprinkling of parsley.
