Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    4 c. flour
    2 c. jam
    2 tsp. soda dissolved in 2 1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. lemon
    1 c. creamed butter
    1 c. raisins
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. cherries
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs.
    Alternate with flour and milk.
    Add spices to flour.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 45 minutes.
